100 free activities in more than 30 Parisian libraries Numok - March 28th - April 18th 2020
Numok, a digital festival in libraries? What an idea!
And why not? Libraries are indeed the place to share and celebrate together culture including digital culture! Yes, we might be a bit geeks… But just as the world around us! Digital computing and communication technology are part of our daily lives. They evolve unceasingly, changing uses, creating new practices, raising new issues.
Numok is the event not to miss to:
- Play an active role in culture thanks to the digital tools and enrich the public domain! Far from the closed operating systems, welcome to the world of the commons where sharing and collaborating become… common!
- Get fun! Behind its technical aspect, they are many playful digital tools to learn and create more.
- Come and meet the unexpected! Computer science is full of potential. Find out about the projects of many startups, artists, and individuals just like you, that dared to launch something new, something different.
Numok stands for “commons” in reverse which refers to all the cultural and natural resources accessible to all members of a society. Numok is a step to empower anyone to be an actor of the digital age.
Since its first edition in 2015, it has welcome over 8,000 people from children to seniors, from novices to technophiles.
