Marc Almond est une véritable icône influente : une carrière de presque 40 ans et plus de 30 millions d'albums vendus. Entre une carrière solo bien remplie et un succès énorme avec "Soft Cell", Almond a su imposer son style si différent à la scène underground, comme au grand public. Ce nouvel album "Chaos and a Dancing star" a été enregistré à Los Angeles. L'album renvoie à l'âge d'or d'Hollywood et à la disparition des grandes stars du cinéma. Tantôt nostalgique, tantôt un brin funèbre (Almond parle du cimetière des stars comme du cimetière des éléphants) ce nouvel opus met en valeur la voix splendide d'Almond, son crooning qui n'est jamais aussi séduisant que lorsqu'il se présente, comme ici, dans le plus grand naturel...
