Arrivé à Paris, où il retrouve son ancienne élève Marie-Antoinette, Gluck décide de réviser pour le public français l'un de ses grands succès viennois : Orfeo ed Euridice. Plus qu'une simple adaptation à la langue et aux goûts français, son Orphée et Eurydice s'impose comme une véritable révolution esthétique. C'est ce vent de nouveauté que Paul Agnew, Les Arts Florissants et leurs trois interprètes d'exception nous font ici redécouvrir.
