Remixé et remis à jour à partir des masters originaux de 1987 par Andy Jackson et David Gilmour assistés de Damon Iddins dans le cadre du projet 'The Later Years', l'album est ici proposé en format CD. La sortie du projet 'The Later Years' en 2019 a permis de redécouvrir 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason', paru en 1987. En exhumant des parties de claviers de Richard Wright et en ré-enregistrant de nouvelles pistes de batterie de Nick Mason, les producteurs David Gilmour et Bob Ezrin ont rééquilibré la balance créative des trois membres de Pink Floyd. L'album est également illustré par un nouvel artwork basé sur une image inutilisée lors de la célèbre prise de vue des lits exposés sur une plage.
