Dans son cinquième opus, la chanteuse et songwriter américaine Samantha Crain devient conteuse. Elle chante un hommage à l'amoureuse imaginaire du Wichita Lineman de Jimmy Webb. Elle revient à la définition de la folk : la musique des gens. Alors qu'elle travaillait dans une pizzeria de son Oklahoma natal pour économiser un peu d'argent, Samantha est retournée à San Francisco pour enregistrer son album au studio analogique Tiny Telephone, aidée du producteur visionnaire John Vanderslice (Spoon, the Mountain Goats, Strand of Oaks) et de l'ingénieur du son Jacob Winik (The Magnetic Fields, Hot Buttered Rum).
