La nouvelle compilation Ornithology: The Best of Bird réunit 11 titres essentiels de l'inventeur du be-bop composés entre 1945 et 1953, parmi lesquels "Ko-Ko", "Now's The Time", "Billie's Bounce", "Groovin' High" et quatre enregistrements live capturés au Royal Roost de New York et au Massey Hall de Toronto.
