Depuis son premier récital chez Ricercar (Nun danket alle Gott avec CLEMATIS), la jeune soprano avignonnaise Julie Roset ne cesse de se faire remarquer dans le paysage du chant baroque. Au disque, le récital consacré à Sigismondo d'India en compagnie de Mariana Flores a suscité un grand enthousiasme. Ce nouvel enregistrement lui permet d'aborder quelques grands chefs-d'oeuvre du répertoire sacré de Handel, le Salve Regina, le Gloria et le motet Silete venti, compositions qui appartiennent toutes à cette période particulièrement inspirée où le jeune compositeur saxon était animé par la découverte de la vie musicale romaine.
